Waking up
School begins at 07:50 in the morning, so that means we have to get up relatively early (depending on where you live) to arrive on time, either by foot, bus or car.
Morning
The morning period consists of two lessons, each fourty-five minutes, followed by a fifteen-minute break where you can have breakfast at the cafeteria, chat with your friends or prepare for your next classes.
Locker break
After another two lessons, the bell rings, signaling that it is locker break. During these minutes you should be getting your books ready for the remaining lessons of the day. We have a forty-five-minute lesson before the bell rings once again – then it is time for lunch break.
Lunch break
Lunch break lasts for thirty-five minutes, starting at 12:25 and ending at 1:00. Many students eat lunch at the cafeteria, whether it is their food brought from home or school made food. After they finish their meal, with the remaining time, they use it to play outside, chat with friends or they can get to the library to read or complete homework.
Rest of the day
Once it is 1:00, the bell rings, we return to class and have three more lessons before the school ends. That’s at 3:00p.m. Some students might have signed up for school activities or clubs, such as homework club. It really is a great opportunity to make new friends.
Home time
Later on, students finally go home, some of them go with their parents, some go by taxis, some walk home (if their home is near the school) and the rest of the students go by buses.
So, that’s a day of an average student at 7th grade at our school. Rather strenuous, perhaps, but that is what life is supposed to be, right?
