Adventure in a Haunted House

Everyone said shadow Hollow is haunted, but I had to see for myself. So one cold night, I convinced my friend Land to come with me. We crept through the dark, empty house, flash light having no effect.

Halfway up the stairs, soft piano music drifted down from above. Although in fear and our hearts pounding, we followed it. We found ourselves in a room at the end of the hall. Inside, an old piano played by itself, filling the room with eerie, haunting music. Then a whisper,'' Welcome...I've been waiting.''

We ran and didn't stop until we were back on the busy street. Looking up, we saw a shadowy figure waving. ''Help! Someone help!'' shouted Land.

''Let's go back home,'' I told Lucy, ''some doors are better left unopened,'' I stuttered.
